
The summer is winding down but the night life in Atlantic City is still red hot! Here’s a run down of the top 10 concerts making their way to Atlantic City in the coming weeks:
Journey – September 4th & 5th at the Borgata Events Center
Multi-platinum and Diamond recording artists, Journey are coming back to Atlantic City at the Borgata Events Center! One of the greatest groups of all time, Journey has sold over 80 million albums worldwide and has had 18 Top 40 singles over their three decade careers. Such hits as “Don’t Stop Believing”, “Open Arms”, and “Faithfully” are partially responsible for their placement as the 28th best selling band of all time according to the Recording Industry Association of America.
Robin Trower – September 11th at the House of Blues
Robin Trower (Procol Harum, The Paramounts) is most well-known for his contributions to the development of progressive rock and symphonic rock. Trower, himself a great guitarist, has placed himself alongside top musicians throughout his career, including Jack Bruce (Cream), Davey Pattison (Gamma), and Pete Thompson.
Ziggy Marley – September 17th at the House of Blues
The oldest son of the late, great, Bob Marley and four time Grammy winner, Ziggy Marley is the front man of Ziggy Marley and the Melody Makers (comprised of his siblings Stephen, Cedella, and Sharon). His roots reggae style is reminiscent of his father, and entirely unique at the same time.
Rick Springfield – September 25th at the Borgata Music Box
Australian-born Rick Springfield is a rock legend, primarily known for his song “Jesse's Girl”. While he is also an actor, Springfield's true home is the stage. Be sure not to miss him in Atlantic City when you get the chance!
Alice Cooper – September 25th at the House of Blues
The world's most beloved heavy metal entertainer comes to Atlantic City September 25th at the House of Blues! Responsible for such hits as “School's Out” and “Billion Dollar Baby” Alice Cooper is well known for his spectacular stage shows often featuring horror special effects, and is known to do a great live show. If you're a metal fan, this is not a show to be missed.
Blink 182 – October 3rd at the Borgata Events Center
Blink 182 comes to Atlantic City October 3rd for a night of good music and fun. With more hits than most people realize; “Dammit”, “First Date”, “What's My Age Again?”, “I Miss You”, and many more, Blink 182 is easily one of the most successful punk bands of all time helping to influence a generation's perception of music. This is their first tour since announcing that they are back together full-time after a series of side projects and departures.
Kelly Clarkson – October 10th at the Xanadu Showroom
The American Idol, Kelly Clarkson, makes her way to Atlantic City's Taj Mahal in a show that is highly anticipated by many. A multi-platinum recording artist, she has exceeded people's expectations time and time again and proven that she is more than just a girl who won a contest, she is a sensation.
Social Distortion – October 17th at the House of Blues
The leaders of the punk uprising of the 80's, Social Distortion, are live at the House of Blues on October 17th. Famous for such tracks as “Story of My Life”, “Reach for the Sky”, and “I Was Wrong”, Social D is sure to keep the mosh pit moving at the House of Blues.
Lamb of God – October 23rd at the House of Blues
Heavy metal rockers Lamb of God are known for their shredding and intense vocals. They have played Ozzfest, Slayer's Unholy Alliance, and Gigantour, cementing their place alongside legendary acts like Slayer and Megadeth. They have been featured in the Guitar Hero series, introducing them to a whole new group of potential fans. There is no stopping this force of metal mayhem.
Daughtry – November 6th at the Trump Taj Mahal
Don't call him a loser! Daughtry is fronted by Chris Daughtry, the most successful non-winning contestant from American Idol. Over 6 million worldwide record sales and multiple awards, including a People's Choice Award for Best Rock Song (“Home”), Daughtry has been climbing the ladder in terms of popularity ever since they hit the scene and started touring, and it doesn't look like they'll be slowing down any time soon.
